Groter tegenstelling dan tijdens deze fietstocht door de 'andere kant van Bangkok' zal je zelden tegenkomen. Vlak achter de skylinebepalende wolkenkrabbers duik je steegje-in-steegje-uit. Zo wordt er in deze smeltkroes dus ook geleefd, in krotten onder de snelweg, waar wonderlijk genoeg soms een auto voor de deur staat.
En dan steekt de fietsclub met fiets en al per boot de Chao Prayarivier over om in een jungleachtig landschap te ervaren hoe verrassend de naaste omgeving van een wereldstad kan zijn. Oude tempels, met overwoekerde boeddha's, palmwouden waardoorheen op smalle betonweggetjes kan worden gefietst. Om tenslotte in een schaduwrijke uitspanning met een koele dronk de terugtocht naar gene kant van de metropool voor te bereiden. Geen wonder dat het een telg uit het fietsgekke Nederland is die dit avontuur heeft samengesteld. Wat niet wegneemt dat het een Thaise gids was die ons deskundig en soms op humoristische wijze voorlichtte. Hi everyone at ABC, our tour yesterday was really great! we loved both sides of the river, very diffrent and very special. First we were a little bit frightend due to the busy Bangkok traffic for my kids of 11 and 14. But it was almost entertaining to see how our professional tourguides led us safe trough the traffic. where needed they stop the cars for us to pass safe, and at the traffic lights they waited for the right moments! Really great and safe how they did this. Afcourse all the information was very good also and they where very friendly and nice, but for my family I think safety first!

ABC Amazing Bangkok Cycling is TRULY an amazing experience. We had reservatinos about taking our kids, aged 8 & 13 on crazy, busy Bangkok streets but it turned out to be an absolute blast! On, our guide, was sensational in her local knowledge and insights into Thai life without overwhelming us. She took my eldest child under her wing (my child had never ridden on a road) as we treddled about the City seeing and experiencing things we would never have found in our wanderings. Hallo ABC, we hebben ernorm genoten van jullie ABC dag toer. Heel veel gezien en gedaan en onze gidsen On & Marcel waren helemaal geweldig. Veel tekst en uitleg gekregen over het echte Thaise leven. De andere kant van de rivier waar we met de long tail boot naartoe zijn gegaan was prachtig en we zijn droog gebleven. Goed sturen en jullie advies om het zadel laag te zetten hebben we dus goed opgevolgd. De lunch was heerlijk en was meer dan prima. Al met al een dikke tien punten.

Also we had an wounderfull tour today with the ABC company. I see many good reactions on the site already! Today I cycled with my wife the daytour on our last day of Thailand. We spend here many vacations and long times in Bangkok before but this really changed our view to the city completely! I would recommend it to everyone. And all the good luck to the very friendly, kind and well known tourguides!

Dear ABC,
Our family had a fantastic tour with you guys and we enjoyed all the places you showed us. The tour guides were very good and gave us a real insight of the daily life of the local people.
The bikes were very good and your advise to lower the saddle was a good advise as it is more safe.
The other side of the river was stunning and the small family run "at home" restaurant was a prefect change for us than a normal restaurant. Food was delicious as it was frshly made for us.

Hallo ABC, Nogmaals dank voor een geweldige ervaring met jullie. Dit was de 8st. keer en het blijft altijd weer leuk. WEER heel anders dan vorige keren en de gidsen die je hebt (On & Marcel) zijn top gidsen. Natuurlijk tot een volgende trip (april dit jaar).

We Did last week the weekend tour. It was really the best Bangkok experience. We learned alot about the local people, the areas and in the jungle was very beautiful!!! Later on the floating market was really wonderfull and very delicious.. It changed our view completely about bangkok all thanks to the very kind and helpfull ABC tourguides.!

We had a blasting day with your company. Your tour guides On & Oli were really very entertaining throughout the whole trip and gave us another view of Thai people. Very interesting to see with so little people can still be very happy. A hello and high V were given to us and we felt very welcome.

Furthermore upon arrival we immediately felt "at home" with your hospitality. We wish you a speedy recovery with your broken rib and keep those wheels spinning in 2012 as we definitive will come back again.

Last Monday we did the tour with you and we enjoyed all the sights, sounds, smells we got during the tour. It was in one word an amazing bikinig tour. You showed us places which otherwise we would never have seen. The other side of the river as you called it the green area was beautiful while balancing on the small pathways, but everybody stayed dry. Hoi Michiel, Nou alle berichtgevingen die we hadden gekregen waren compleet uit z'n verband getrokken en waren er slechts maar een paar gebieden in Bangkok onder water. Bij jullie was het droog op een heel klein buitje na, maar dat heeft onze pret niet gedrukt. We hebben genoten van de tour en het is tot nu toe het beste wat we hebben ervaren. De fietsen waren perfect onderhouden en van enig zadelpijn hadden we geen last. De route die je ons hebt laten zien was geweldig met zoveel afwisseling en wij hadden dit nooit ervaren als we niet met jullie mee waren gegaan. Alles tot in de puntjes geregeld, zelfs muggenspul mee... Nogmaals Michiel het was in 1 woord GEWELDIG en we komen aan het eind van onze vakantie weer bij je fietsen. Ik mail je weer en ook dank voor al jullie goede zorgen voor onze kinderen.
